How to solve graph x^2 + y^2 = 4

The aim of this article is to show you how graph x squared plus y squared equals 4. So the first thing to know is that this is the general form for the equation of a circle where we have x squared plus y squared equals to R squared where R stands for the radius.

Before we graph this exact equation, I want to show you why this is an equation of a circle. So we have a line here which is X, and a line here which is Y. This line over here will give you your radius. So X,Y and R, and from Pythagoras theorem you can see that X squared plus Y squared equals R squared. so R here is the radius of the circle. For this length over here it is also R. The same for this length over here.

When we talk about this equation over here, we can see the equation of a circle with a radius of two because for a general form we have R squared, and in this case R squared equals to 4. So R is just 2. So when we graph this equation it will look like this: a circle of origin 0,0 and a radius of two.
